Call Day at Concordia Seminary is the day when second year students learn their vicarage church assignments (a one-year internship at an LCMS church anywhere in the U.S.) and fourth year students learn their first call assignments. Deaconess students learn their deaconess internship assignments or diaconal call assignments on this day as well. These assignments are announced and celebrated during two worship services on Call Day.
Share in the celebration by using hashtags #CallDay2018 and #CallDayWatchParty.
There are two services on Call Day:
Contact our Technology Services Helpdesk at 314-505-7231 or email@example.com.
Tickets are not required for admittance.
Plan to arrive early to allow for time to park, walk to the event site and find a seat.
Out of consideration for our candidates and participants, guests and staff, please turn off cell phones and refrain from conversation during the chapel services and ceremonies.
There is ample parking for all guests. Please enter campus at the main entrance via Seminary Place. Guests will be directed to the nearest parking space by Seminary parking attendants. Hang any disabled parking placards or reserved parking tags from your rearview mirror as you enter campus so that attendants can easily identify your needs.
To ensure seating for every guest, seats may not be held for those not present. To ensure your group sits together, please instruct everyone in your party to arrive early and promptly take their seats.
Please do not block aisles or passageways.
Seats for guests with disabilities are available upon request from ushers and will be selected to allow for convenient entry and exit. We kindly ask that only one companion accompany the individual who needs accommodations. (Note: Requests for disability-related accommodations can be made at any time by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 314-505-7336. Please request accommodations as soon as possible as some services take several weeks to arrange.)
Out of consideration for others, please keep the front of the stage and pathways clear. Please, no flash photography during the service.
To fulfill the promise made to our students and build upon the tradition of excellence that has defined Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, we invite you to join in Generations 20/20, the ongoing campaign for Concordia Seminary. This is a momentous opportunity in the history of the Seminary to help ensure that future generations will be served by faithful, relevant and relational pastors who share the Gospel message in ways to advance the Great Commission. Your gift will make a difference for generations to come. Thank you!
